That decision doesn’t seem logical because who cares if it’s played in 2022, the teams are only playing in the new year because that is how they scheduled bowl games. So even though everything had 2022 on it, that isn’t the case. The College Football Playoffs put the year the game gets played in on the jerseys, but the championship denotation is for the year of the regular season. Remember Georgia football fans - the Dawgs are 2021 national champs, not 2022.
